UK police seized a Tesla Cybertruck on the grounds that it was illegal. The vehicle was banned from traffic because it did not have the necessary permits to be used on public roads in the country and was deemed dangerous. So is it illegal to use this vehicle in the UK? Details in our news…

The incident, which took place in the past hours, was revealed in a statement shared on social media by Greater Manchester Police. The statement said that a driver was driving a Cybertruck in the Whitefield area on a trial basis. The police emphasized on social media that the vehicle posed a major safety risk to other drivers and pedestrians in a possible accident. The vehicle is banned in the UK as it does not have the required compliance certificate.

The confiscated Tesla Cybertruck was registered and insured in another country. Under UK law, such a vehicle must meet local insurance and registration requirements. Therefore, the owner was reported for driving without insurance and referred to the relevant units for criminal proceedings.

As you know, Tesla is currently selling the Cybertruck only in the North American market and has not yet announced an official plan for other regions, including Europe. The model imported to the UK was only intended for use at promotional events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Meanwhile, there have been similar cases in other countries, for example in Lithuania, where two Cybertrucks were stopped by customs authorities and banned for not having the necessary permits. As a bonus, we also heard that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has equipped some Cybertrucks with machine guns.

So what do you think about this issue? Do you think regulations should be made so that Tesla Cybertruck can be used legally in the UK? You can share your opinions in the comments ….
